Swift – Corporate Responsibility

We’ve always had a strong commitment to our employees and the communities we serve. By being a corporate responsible carrier through the years, Swift has instituted a number of unique programs designed to positively affect our employees, their families and the communities where they live. By giving back, we can ensure a strong future that is focused on community, education and the pursuit of a cleaner planet. It’s not only our way of giving back, it’s our way of saying thanks.

Community

Swift Charities – Swiftcharities.org

Swift Charities is a beacon of hope for our struggling employees. From providing help to our employees facing hardships to offering scholarships for their children, our goal is to improve the lives for those who help improve the quality of this company. Swift Charities also provides Community Grants to charitable organizations to help local communities.

Swift Kids – Swiftkids.org

The faith in our children is backed by the support we continue to provide for them. Swift Kids is a nonprofit organization that develops programs to generate proceeds to benefit local children. From scholarships to mentorships, westrive to create a better future for our children.

Disaster Relief

We are doing our part to assist in the relief efforts after tragic events by offering continuous responseand support to areas affected by hurricanes, floods, and other natural disasters.

Swift Gives Back

We’ve made generous efforts to promote and raise money for the Special Olympics, School for the Blind, The YMCA and many more.

Sustainability means a better future for all of us. We have taken the necessary steps to promote a greener lifestyle amongst our employees and clients through a variety of different programs and initiatives.

Smart Way Charter Member

Swift is a charter member of the Smart Way Program, that means we work with other like-minded companies to develop environmentally cleaner, more fuel-efficient transportation methods. TheSmart Way brand identifies products and services that reduce transportation-related emissions.

EPA Smart Way transportation programs result in significant, measurable air quality and/or greenhouse gas improvements while maintaining or improving current levels of other emissions and/or pollutants.

Swift Is Green

Swift also has a heart of green. Our longstanding push for a greener world is reflected in the many programs we support. Our dedication to environmentally friendly transportation methods, company wide recycling programs, and participation in programs that contribute to a sustainable world, all reflect the value we put on being green. 

Safety

Our continued success and driver retention rates are reflected in our safety first environment. Since day one we’ve emphasized safety for our employees, our customers, and the motoring public. All of our safety protocols not only meet the standards of Federal Laws & Regulations, but they go well beyond them.

Training

We train our drivers, our mechanics and our staff so they can perform their jobs to the best of their abilities. We review every detail so when our employees are on the job they understand how to handle any critical issues. This is reflected in our service to our customers and how our employees handle every situation.

Education

Swift is all about being a “best in class” carrier. We actively recruit college graduates in degrees in Business and Logistics to make up our teams. In 2001, we started our Management Development Program to help our recruits’ blossom into future managers. Our program consists of a year long diversified training schedule to ensure they develop the needed skills to become successful.

Scholarships

Swift wants to create leaders within the community. It’s why we provide scholarships for our employees’ kids and to kids in the community.
